Leg Descriptions
| Leg 1 | FUNSPOT TO ARLBERG SKI SHOP, 10.7 miles, 2 water stops. Rolling Hills, nice scenery. |
| Leg 2 | ARLBERG SKI SHOP to the parking lot of the Bandstand at ALTON BAY, 11 miles, 2 water stops . Runners go down Rte. 11D, and race vehicles Go down Rte. 11, as last year. Rolling hills, nice scenery. |
| Leg 3 | ALTON BAY to the KINGSWOOD High School in Wolfeboro. The course will turn up Bay Hill Rd. as last year, 9.3 miles, 2 water stops. Hilly course. PLEASE NOTE: The Relay exchange point will take place in the driveway in FRONT of KINGSWOOD HIGH SCHOOL. To access the Parking lot, cars should turn right onto McManus Rd(As if you were turning into Arts Center), and take first left into Parking Lot. There is also parking on the other side of the school. |
| Leg 4 | Parking WILL be allowed at the main entrance to Abenaki Ski Area/Pop Whalen Ice Arena. PLEASE USE CAUTION- as Runners and vehicles will be sharing the same driveway. KINGSWOOD HIGH SCHOOL in Wolfeboro to ABENAKI SKI AREA in Wolfeboro. A flat, relatively easy 4 mile stretch which is good for sprinters or new runners. RUNNERS OF LEG 4--PLEASE NOTE: BE AWARE that the Chief of Police in Wolfeboro will be VERY STRICT about making sure all runners STAY ON THE SIDEWALK as they pass through Wolfeboro, which is a busy town and this road is heavily trafficked. This is for YOUR safety. The Chief has informed us he will have an officer writing down bib numbers of runners whose number is turned into us. |
| Leg 5 | ABENAKI SKI AREA, Wolfeboro to MORGAN FARM. At the end of LEG 5 runners must take the Shuttle Bus to Exchange 6 at the MOULTONBORO SCHOOL, to be picked Up by their Race Team Vehicle. Traffic will NOT be allowed through Morgan Farm, NO DOGS allowed at Morgan Farm(PLEASE be respectful of the property owners). 10.8 miles, 3 water stops. This is the prettiest Leg of the Race, with rolling hills and lovely remote countryside. |
| Leg 6 | MORGAN FARM to MOULTONBORO SCHOOL. Runners of LEG 6 leaving from Morgan Farm (Exchange 5) MUST take the Shuttle Bus from Moultonboro School into Morgan Farm and run back to the School and his car or the Race Team Vehicle. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY. This avoids any hassle with vehicles parking on main roads. 6.4 miles, 1 water stop. A pleasant rolling hills leg. |
| Leg 7 | MOULTONBORO SCHOOL to INTERLAKES SCHOOL in Meredith. 8.5 miles, 2 water stops, rolling hills, not a flat part on this leg. |
| Leg 8 | INTERLAKES SCHOOL to FUNSPOT, 4.4 miles, 1 water stop. Some really good hills, with nice views of the Lake as reward for all the work. |
